Soprano Elisabeth A. Rosenberg, proclaimed by Opera News critic Brian Kellow to possess a "...nicely colored, well-produced soprano...", is quickly garnering acclaim for her expressive stage presence and sophisticated musicality. In February 2007, Ms. Rosenberg's performances as Suzanne Michaud in the newly revised edition of Tobias Picker's Therese Raquin at Dicapo Opera Theatre were highly lauded. Other notable performances in the 2006-2007 season included Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi and the vivacious, dancing Zozo in The Merry Widow for Dicapo Opera Theatre.
Ms. Rosenberg sang the role of L’Ensoleillad in Massenet’s Cherubin in the summer of 2004 for New Jersey Opera Theatre, to great critical acclaim. Ms. Rosenberg joined the Dicapo Opera Theatre Resident Artist Program in the fall of 2004.
A graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles, Ms. Rosenberg won second-place in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in the Western Region in 2003 and was also a National Finalist of the Annamaria Saritelli-DiPanni Bel Canto Vocal Scholarship Foundation in 2002.
While at UCLA, Ms. Rosenberg performed a wide variety of roles such as Madama Cortese (Il Viaggio a Reims), Lady Billows (Albert Herring), and Concepcion (L’Heure Espagnole), just to name a few.
Elisabeth is equally at home on the musical theatre stage, with credits such as West Side Story (Anita),
Little Shop of Horrors (Ronette), and Triumph of Love (Hesione).
